About Your Dentist

Dr. Mittelsteadt founded our dental practice in 1987. He received his dental training at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Mittelsteadt served as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and has continued working with students at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul and as part of St. Olaf College’s annual medical mission to Peru.

Dr. Mittelsteadt completed Advanced Dentistry Training at the University of Vermont Medical College. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in the area of diagnosis and radiology.

Professional Memberships

Dr. Mittelsteadt serves on the Board of Directors for Hope Dental and Union Gospel Mission, and is a Co-Founder of Andean Community Partners. He is also currently leading a collaborative between Prince of Peace Dental mission and Mosaic Dental.

Recently, Dr. Mittelsteadt was recognized by Minneapolis St. Paul magazine and was named to their “Dentist Hall of Fame.” He has also been recognized by St. Olaf College and was named the alumni of the year for Outstanding Service.

Life & Hobbies

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mittelsteadt and his wife Lisa have three grown boys and have recently moved to Minneapolis, bringing their "new" very old home back to health.  Not ones to let much grass grow under their feet, renovating their very old home and enjoying their favorite activities of bicycling and hiking seems to fill up much of their free time.

Dr. Mittelsteadt and his wife Lisa have been active in District 196 and have been honored as friends of Eastview High School.  Their three sons are no longer in the district, but they have continued working with students in need.

My Mission

Dr. Solberg has fully concentrated his practice to Dental Implants, Surgery, and Sedation since completing his full-time Implant Fellowship program at Southern Illinois University in 2015. He is honored to be one of seven dentists in Minnesota and 600 dentists in the country to have obtained Board Certification in Implant Dentistry from the American Board of Oral Implantology. While he understands the thought of extractions and dental implants is overwhelming for some patients, he takes pride in making the experience in the office, as well as post-operatively at home, as easy as possible and is honored by the opportunity to care for patients undergoing implant care.

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Solberg is originally from Eden Prairie and currently resides in Prior Lake with his wife Brooke and their 2 boys. They have two dogs of their own and are involved with local dog fostering and rescue organizations. He can typically be found with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors by hiking, gardening, skiing, or playing various sports. Now that his kids are getting older, he is enjoying the opportunity to coach their soccer teams as well!

“My long-term career goal is to become a mission’s dentist and provide care to the less fortunate in different parts of the world. I have served on several trips to Guatemala, Panama, and Costa Rica, and I hope to continue with as many as I can.”

Life & Hobbies

Dr. Tran was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota. She now resides in St. Louis Park with her husband and two dogs, Speedy, a Jack Russell, and Honeybee, a Whippet. In her free time, Dr. Tran loves to travel. She has backpacked through Japan, Thailand, China, Inner Mongolia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. Recently, Dr. Tran and her husband have taken up beekeeping as a hobby. This season (summer 2021) they have collected almost 15 gallons of honey from their hives!
